In summis montibus excubiae in ingentibus turribus eminebat.
Repente nigra fuligo delapsa est super gentes.
Cantores et tibicines tacuerunt...
Silentium non verum absorbuit Bur-Caal
Statim laniatum excubiarum clamoribus.
Trans montem horrendus visus...
Duces Baazgor et Orkian ducebant ingetem exercitum
Qui iam non faciebat videre nec caelum nec terram
Nemo potuti fugere
Dracones Orkian in vicum ruerunt
Et dum catapultae oppida diruebant
Militum Robur in arcem irrumpit... inde sacrificium.
On the Crest of the Mountains (English Translation)
Along the crest of the mountains the alerts sentinels
Stand out on the enormous towers.
Suddenly a black soot comes down onto people
Minstrels and players kept silent...
An unreal silence swallowed Bur-Caal
Soon broken by the sentinel's screams.
Beyond the mountain there was a blood-curdling sight...
The general Baazgor and Orkian leading a great army
Which prevented to see neither the sky nor the land.
None had time to escape
Orkian's dragon pull dawn to the village
And while the catapults were demolishing the fortifications
The army entered the citadel... then the holocaust.

Crown and Kingdom to Ash
06:01
|
|||
Rising forth, pitch becloaked and in the still of night
My kingdom is the bane of the Arnorian kin
Seizing with an iron fist, face the Nazgûl's might
For Amon Sûl shall fall and Arveleg shall follow
In Rhudaur a fallen king, but still the palantír
Is taken to Fornost borne by the last of their sons
Now these walls so besieged shall take their final spears
As Fornost whose allies are sundered to Gondor's aid
Setting sights on Arthedain, unseat the kingdom's throne
Muster battalions of orcs, in Sauron's name shall we fight
All shall fall to my black mace, interred in shattered stone
So lie the hopes of the North, crushed by the might of Angmar
This castle will rise over the wastes and the graves
Evil abounds til boats from Gondor arrive
And Prince Eärnur captains the charge of the knaves
Still, taken aback, flanked by the boy's cavalry
So my troops laid to waste, facing with Eärnur
To challenge to mortal duel, still but a petulant child
And his horse flees the field before my hellish power
"No man can end my life," roaring with mirth I retreat
Dormant lies in Mordor's keep, and Gondor feels at peace
The prince becomes their king, but word comes from Minas Morgul
"Can you feel the disgrace? The sting of thy defeat?
Enter the Dead City's gates, cast crown and kingdom to ash!"

Lament for Mithrandir
04:28
|
|||
When evening in the Shire was grey
his footsteps on the Hill were heard
before the dawn he went away
on journey long without a word
With Dwarf and Hobbit, Elves and Men
with mortal and immortal folk
with bird on bough and beast in den
in their own secret tongues he spoke
He stood upon the bridge alone
and Fire and Shadow both defied
his staff was broken on the stone
in Khazad-dûm his wisdom died
From Wilderland to Western shore
from northern waste to southern hill
through dragon-lair and hidden door
and darkling woods he walked at will
A deadly sword, a healing hand,
a back that bent beneath his load
a trumpet-voice, a burning brand
a weary pilgrim on the road
He stood upon the bridge alone
and Fire and Shadow both defied
his staff was broken on the stone
in Khazad-dûm his wisdom died
A lord of wisdom throned he sat
swift in anger, quick to laugh
an old man in a battered hat
who leaned upon a thorny staff
To east now gaze at dawn's first light
Enrobed in white with staff in hand
With his friends shall reunite
Restoring peace to all the land
He stood upon the bridge alone
and Fire and Shadow both defied
his staff was broken on the stone
in Khazad-dûm his wisdom died

Silva gravida est uligine sicut frons elforum qui
Percipiunt obscuram presentiam, statim murmur
Foliarum aperit veritatem ... duodecim hominum
Horribilium sine deo.
Terror serpit inter perturbatos elfos, qui non
Habent tempus fugiendi.
Monstra in iugula candida impetum faciunt
Laminis aspersis sanguinem concreto, stuprant
Honestas virgines ante earum filios, lacernat
Ventres elforum.
Igitur evanescunt cum strepitu inter arbores
Percussas pavore cum tropaeis funebribus...
Auriculis elficis.
Elfic Slaughter (English Translation)
The forest is full of dampness like the elve's
Face heads who perceive an obscure presence,
Suddenly a rustle of leaves shows the truth...
A dozen of abominable beings without god.
Panic spreads among the lost elves who have no
Time to escape...
The ogres threw themselves on their candid
Throats with blades soiled with blood,
They rape the virtuous women in front
Of their children
They tear the elderly's abdomens and smash
Men's head
They disappear noisily, among the horrified
Trees, with a macabre trophy...
Elfic ears.

For four hundred years they lived in Watchful Peace
Until the Shadow of the Necromancer rose again
Over the fortress where the wood elves fear to tread
So the wizard rode into the darkened keep
And felt the specter flee, and but a dying dwarf remained
Pressing into the wizard's hand his map and key
Thrain, the dwarven king, in passing carried not
His ring, whose signet bore an awful sorcery within
And Gandalf knew the Lord of Dol Guldur was he
But the die is cast to split their forces and
To draw the Shadow south, far from the spiteful dragon's den
To crash upon his door with magicks primeval
Gaze beyond illusion, behold the heir of Morgoth
Accursed black crown, the master of the rings
Eastward malice grows, beyond the gates of Mordor
To ready Barad-Dûr for Sauron shall return
Through the Mirkwood's north the dwarves and hobbit must
Abscond, as Gandalf joins with the White Council solemn steeled
Whose ancient magicks still recall a grander age
Weakened, Sauron fled, now bested by a
Mighty song, the wizard's horse galloping to the battlefield
Upon the mountain being smote with dragon's fire
Charged to man the fortress come three riders yet
Again, to Dol Guldur whose magicks are not fully delved
To bear this curse upon the lords of Lórien
Second in command, Khamul the captain of
Two wraiths, who shall return in Sauron's stead tormenting elves
Forevermore, so long as their master shall live
Gaze beyond illusion, behold the heir of Morgoth
Accursed black crown, the master of the rings
Eastward malice grows, beyond the gates of Mordor
To ready Barad-Dûr for Sauron shall return
Bridge/Solo
Gaze beyond illusion, behold the heir of Morgoth
Accursed black crown, the master of the rings
Eastward malice grows, beyond the gates of Mordor
To ready Barad-Dûr for Sauron has returned

Hearken to the King and conqueror of Earth
Wielding a great scepter shining like the sun
To command his strongholds bordering the sea
Inspiring fear and tribute from these lesser Men
A black tower rises and armies march from the East
The fell voice of Sauron echoes an ancient hate
Proclaiming himself the true King over Men
So the armies from Numenor march upon the Black Gate
March from the shores, none dare to stand in our way
Your claim to Kingship is but a folly
Behold our power, whose might drives all creatures to flee
Your orcs are faithless cowards before me
So beg for mercy, chained to the throne of the King
Hearing their counsels and their misgivings
The heart of Man, trembles before his own death
And so shall falter, into darkness falling
"And yet the Valar so have deceived you
Melkor will make you stronger even than they
Curse they who withhold from you eternal life,"
So Sauron spoke in his deceitful way
We curse the Valar and their ban from lands undying
We curse the West and all the fruits thereof
Burn the tree Nimloth, dim its light in kindling
And feed its flames with human sacrifice
All efforts in vain knowing their lives still shall end
Nine years they labored, armament of matchless glory
The lies of Sauron aiming his ships toward the West
To claim his birthright of immortality
So for the first time, mortal feet tread upon Aman
And for the last time, Numenor is displumed
Forfeit your kingdoms, trapped for all time by the One
In caves forgotten, until the Day of Doom

The windy years have strewn down distant ways
And in the halls still doth thy spirit sing
Songs of old memory amid thy present tears
Or hope of days to come half sad with many fears
Though along thy paths no longer runs (no longer runs!)
While war untimely takes thy many sons (thy many sons!)
No tide of treason can thy glory drown (thy glory drown!)
Robed in sad majesty, the stars thy crown (I am the blood!)
Though along thy paths no longer runs (no longer runs!)
While war untimely takes thy many sons (thy many sons!)
No tide of treason can thy glory drown (thy glory drown!)
Robed in sad majesty, the stars thy crown (I am the blood!)
Old mornings dawn, I am not the light you see
But only that which is falling on me
Old mornings dawn, I am not the light you see
But only that which is falling on me
The windy years have strewn down distant ways
The misty stars thy crown, the night thy dress
Most peerless magical thou dost possess my heart
Old days come to life again
Old mornings dawn...
Old mornings dawn, I am not the light you see
But only that which is falling on me
Old mornings dawn, I am not the light you see
But only that which is falling on me
